Supporting Food Banks of Alabama

The COVID-19 Pandemic negatively affected families all across the world, and Birmingham was no exception. The Legacy for Good Foundation was proud to support numerous food banks within the state to assistance people in need of help feeding themselves and their families. A total of $2,250 was donated in 2020 to the following food banks: The Foundry Food Bank, Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, Greater Birmingham Ministries, and Magic City Harvest.

Supporting Children’s of Alabama

In June, the Legacy for Good Foundation partnered with Legacy credit union to raise funds for Children’s of Alabama. Employees of the Credit Union went Casual for a Cause by donating $10 to Children’s of Alabama. $1000 was donated to Children’s.

Supporting Firehouse Ministries

The Legacy for Good Foundation $500 to Firehouse Ministries. Firehouse Ministries serves homeless men in the Birmingham area through their Firehouse Shelter. In addition to the shelter, they offer meals, clothing, and a variety of services to those experiencing homelessness.

Supporting Children in Need

Proceeds from this year’s Christmas Blessings Program went to support Jefferson County DHR by sponsoring five children for the holidays. We were able to fulfil the Christmas wish list for each of the five kids. The Foundation also partnered with Legacy Credit Union for a holiday toy drive. The toys collected were donated to children in need throughout the Greater Birmingham Area.
