Supporting Magic City Woodworks

The Legacy for Good Foundation is proud to support Magic City Woodworks. MCWW's platform of enhancing the future of Birmingham's youth through hard work and truth makes them a unique organization. Magic City Woodworks’ mission is to promote and equip young men in Birmingham, Alabama with leadership, job and youth mentoring skills. The organization will proudly partner with the local high schools and churches to fill internships. Upon completion of the program, the goal is for these men is to obtain meaningful employment in their chosen field. The young men involved will serve our great city through youth mentoring and community service projects.

Supporting the Army Deployment Support Command 

The Legacy for Good Foundation is pleased to support the Army Deployment Support Command. The Command assists soldiers and their families during their deployment. They are also using the grant for their suicide prevention outreach.

Supporting Children's of Alabama

The Legacy for Good Foundation partnered with Legacy Community Federal Credit Union for the 3rd Annual Legacy for Children’s initiative, donating $13,750 to Children’s of Alabama. In addition to this year's donation of $13,750 Legacy Credit Union also donated 5 wagons for use at Children's. To raise these funds, t-shirts were sold at all area branches. In addition, Legacy employees participated in Casual for a Cause Day to further support the initiative.

Supporting Lifelife and Foster Families

The Legacy for Good Foundation's annual Christmas Blessings Program was a great success. In partnership with Legacy Community Federal Credit Union, over $3,300 was raised. The program sponsors foster children and foster families in the Greater Birmingham Area. This year, the Foundation sponsored Lifeline's Foster Care Christmas party. This event reached over 70 individuals. The Foundation was also able to sponsor Christmas lists for two foster children.
